Visitor Guidelines & Tips
Arrive Early: To make the most of your visit, especially on weekends, it's best to arrive early. This will give you ample time to explore the exhibits before the crowds arrive.
Dress Comfortably: While most exhibits are indoors, some interactive areas are outdoors. Be sure to dress comfortably for walking and, if visiting in warmer months, wear breathable clothing and sunscreen.
Stay Hydrated: Houston's weather can get quite hot, especially in summer. Don’t forget to stay hydrated throughout your visit. Water stations are available on-site.
Follow Exhibit Rules: Each exhibit may have specific guidelines for safety and the comfort of the animals. Please pay attention to posted signs, such as no flash photography in certain areas.
Engage with the Animals: Many exhibits are interactive! Take the opportunity to touch, feed, and learn about the animals, but always follow staff instructions and treat all animals with respect.
Plan for 2-3 Hours: To fully enjoy the exhibits and interactions, we recommend planning for 2 to 3 hours at the venue.
Food and Drink: The aquarium has food and beverage options available for purchase. Outside food is not allowed, except for special dietary needs.
Accessibility: The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are available for loan, but it's a good idea to speak with staff upon arrival if you need assistance.
Take Photos, But Be Mindful: Photography is encouraged, but please avoid using flash in certain areas where it may disturb the animals.
